Andre van der Merwe

Andre brings over 25 years of experience to the team, beginning his career in South Africa as a representative for a building supply company before running his own successful general contracting business for 16 years, specializing in home renovations and additions. After immigrating to the U.S. in 2011, he spent nearly a decade as a sled dog trainer and property manager to achieve permanent residency. He and his wife even earned a bronze medal at the 2015 Sleddog World Championship. Returning to construction, he worked in high-end remodeling in Lake Placid, New York, before relocating to Nashville in 2024. Through the course of a project, he brings a keen sense of aesthetic and a detailed, logical approach, appreciating the refinement and care every project needs. He lives by the mantra, “excellence should not be an event, it should be a habit.” You can find him among his many Siberian huskies when he isn’t on a jobsite.
